Not from the federal government. The federal clean vehicle credits, including the $7,500 credit that leasing companies used to pass on to lessees, ended for cars acquired after September 30, 2025. Any discount on an EV lease now comes from the automaker as lease cash or a special rate, and it can change from month to month. We check the current offers every time we quote.
Electric or gas: compare the same car both ways
Several luxury models come in both versions, such as the Porsche Macan and Cayenne and the BMW 5 Series, which comes as a gas model or the electric i5. Electric and gas versions often have different residual values and incentives, so the payment gap is not always what the sticker prices suggest. Ask us to quote both on the same term and mileage.
Before you lease an EV
- Plan where you will charge. Charging at home is usually the cheapest and easiest.
- Check the range in your weather. Cold and heat both reduce it.
- Pick a mileage allowance that fits how you drive. Miles bought up front cost less than overage at the end.
- Check which fast-charging networks the car can use on the routes you drive.
